PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Cycle: May - September, 2014

Deadline: Friday, January 31, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. eastern time

PROPOSALS - GENERAL USER and PROPRIETARY All NSLS General User, Proprietary Proposals and Beam Time Requests are submitted online through the Proposal, Allocation, Safety & Scheduling (PASS) system. General User Proposals are reviewed, allocated and scheduled entirely through PASS. Users must register the first time they enter the system and will secure a password. If you have a BNL guest number, please use that number to register when you log on. Instructions are provided throughout the system. Information regarding the status of each proposal is available through PASS. Additional email notifications are sent to the Principal Investigator. Be sure to contact the beamline(s) where you wish to perform your experiment for feasibility purposes prior to submitting a proposal.

PASS: https://pass.nsls.bnl.gov

BEAM TIME REQUESTS AGAINST EXISTING PROPOSALS Existing proposals do not automatically receive beam time for every cycle. Beam time requests for existing proposals must be submitted online through PASS on or before the deadline for each scheduling cycle in which beam time is desired.
