We are pleased to announce that the proposal-call for JRR-3 General User
Program (GUP) for JFY2025, operated by the Institute for Solid State
Physics, the University of Tokyo, is now open. The deadline is November 29.
JRR-3 has been currently having smooth operation with its rated power of
20 MW. It has been 4 years since the resumption of operation in July
2021 and, in the duration, many results have been published one after
another under instruments with greatly increased beam flux and the new
accessories and sample environments which have been developed after the
resumption. The international proposal application that started this
fiscal year is also going well, with many foreigners visiting Japan to
conduct experiments.
