********* May 13, 2018 ***************

after which the proposals submitted to HFM/EXED - High Field Facility
for Neutron Scattering at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin - are sent to the
referees.

HFM/EXED offers a unique combination of steady-state magnetic fields as
high as 26 T with neutron scattering. Available neutron techniques are

- TOF Diffraction
- TOF Low-Q
- Direct TOF Spectroscopy

For details please consult the web site below:

http://www.helmholtz-berlin.de/pubbin/igama_output?modus=einzel&sprache=en
&gid=1939&typoid=60174

As in previous rounds, all  proposals have to be discussed with the
local contact prior to submission, and have to contain supplementary information on

i) bulk sample characterization in high fields,
ii) previous neutron measurements,
iii) evidences of Q-range accessibility using EXEQ-calculator and
iv) detailed measurement plan.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Due to the upgrade of the user portal GATE, the proposals for THE PRESENT CALL  have to be submitted per email to

prokhnenko@helmholtz-berlin.de

and have to include

- MainProposer and contact details
- CoProposers and contact details
- requested beamtime
- scientific case  and supplementary information

Nonetheless, all MainProposers and CoProposers have to be registered in GATE, so that the proposals can be entered by the administrators into GATE later.

Looking forward to receiving your proposals,

Best regards,

Oleksandr Prokhnenko

on behalf of HFM/EXED team
