this is the last call for proposals for HFM/EXED High Field Facility for
Neutron Scattering at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin before the shutdown of
BERII research reactor.
The proposals have to be submitted via
GATE
until
********* August 19, 2019 ***************
The beamtime for successful proposals will be allocated in period 14th
October – 1st December 2019.
HFM/EXED offers a unique combination of steady-state magnetic fields as
high as 26 T with neutron scattering. Available neutron techniques are
- TOF Diffraction
- TOF Low-Q
- Direct TOF Spectroscopy

As in previous rounds, all the proposals have to be discussed with the
local contact and contain supplementary information on
i) bulk sample characterization in high fields,
ii) previous neutron measurements,
iii) evidences of Q-range accessibility using EXEQ-calculator and
iv) detailed measurement plan.
