The 2012 Guinier Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Small-Angle Scattering was awarded to Professor Otto Glatter of the University of Graz, Austria. The citation recognised his dedicated development, application, and dissemination of small-angle X-ray, light and neutron scattering methods over more than 40 years; his pioneering work on the indirect Fourier Transform method; and his universally recognised service in building up the international SAS community through teaching, software development, instrumentation, and publication.
