We are pleased to announce that registration and abstract submission (https://indico.frm2.tum.de/event/451/) for the Machine Learning Conference for X-Ray and Neutron-Based Experiments 2024 in Garching near Munich are now open!

Applying machine learning (ML) tools for data generated at large-scale photon and neutron (PaN) facilities offers new opportunities and challenges. This conference will gather experts from machine learning and specialists for applying neutron and photon beams to discuss their latest research. Discussion topics will range from autonomous experiment control and data analysis tools to requirements for ML training data. In addition to presentations, the event will include ML software demonstrations and opportunities for attendees to ask questions and discuss future directions.

The Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) organizes the conference, which will take place from April 8th-10th, 2024.

The first two days (April 8th/9th) are with all participants at the Community Center (Bürgerhaus) Garching. The third day (April 10th) offers optional workshops, hands-on tutorials, and reactor tours at the research neutron source FRM II site for all interested participants.

For any questions, please feel free to contact us via mlc@mlz-garching.de

We are looking forward to seeing you in Garching!
